COVER, Inc. is proud to be one of the first agencies in the United States to receive a contract from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, in 1982, under the Readjustment Counseling Program designed to provide counseling to Vietnam veterans in geographically inaccessible or rural areas. Since our beginnings, COVER's service population has expanded to include veterans of all our country's conflicts: World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, the Marine Barracks at Lebanon, Bosnia, the Balkans, Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq.

In addition to funding from the VA, COVER has received grants from the Agent Orange Class Assistance Program (AOCAP) and HBO. COVER also had a two year contract with the FBI in the late 1980's. COVER is the longest standing private agency dedicated to the treatment of veterans with the military trauma in the United States.
